Operation North
State: Fulfilling A Recreational Request from North Carolina’s
Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans Down East - Take Us Fishing!
WINSTON-SALEM,
N.C. (January 19, 2016) - Operation North State (ONS), its
supporters and volunteers are calling on North Carolina’s People,
Places, Products and Pride (especially in the Edenton/Albemarle Sound
Community) to help support the 1st Annual Edenton Top Shelf Fishin’
Festival. The Festival will be held Saturday, April 2nd
(rain or shine) at Bayside Marina & Grill, 802 W. Queen St.,
Edenton, NC 27932. A dinner will follow the 3PM weigh-in at America
Legion Post 40.
Operation North
State and the Edenton Community will be hosting 50 Wounded Warriors
and Disabled Veterans to a great day of fishing and fellowship.
According to Operational North State’s Founder/Volunteer, Terry
Snyder, “the event is being held at the request of the Wounded
Warriors and Disabled Veterans that have fished in ONS’ Top Shelf
Fishin’ Festivals the past three years. They have requested that
ONS consider hosting additional Fishin’ Festivals throughout the
state especially “down-east”. We are expanding to seven Festivals
in 2016; we are most honored that the Edenton Community has pulled
together to host the Festival. The Wounded Warriors and Disabled
Veterans are so excited to have the opportunity to go fishing with
some of the state’s premier/tournament fishermen” Snyder said.
“Likewise, our fishing hosts/boaters tell us how honored they are
to be part of the Festival and have the opportunity to “give-back”.
The 1st Annual Edenton Top Shelf Fishin’ Festival is FREE to
Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans; and, their respective
caregivers may join them on the boats too if needed. There is no
entry fee for our fishing hosts/boaters. “Operation North State is
grateful to these expert fishermen for providing their time,
expertise and equipment” Snyder said. To register, send an email to
mailbox@operationnorthstate.com
or call 336.764.5967. Provide your name, email address, telephone
number and what North Carolina town you call home. Note: the
