KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC-- The 2015 Outer Banks Woman’s Club Angel Gift Program is underway and needs your help. The number of children who qualify for assistance through Dare County Social Services has increased this year to 450 children, which is an additional 100 children above the number the club assisted in 2014. Our goal is to provide a special Christmas experience to each of these children, which can only be made possible through the generous support from our donors. Our contributions are several thousand dollars short of where we were at this point in 2014. Here are the ways in which you can support this program.
A child’s requested items are specified on paper “Angels” that are currently on display until Friday, December 4, at the following locations: Walmart in Kitty Hawk, Island Pharmacy in Manteo and OBX Chevrolet Buick in Kitty Hawk. In addition, Rack Room Shoes in Nags Head at Tanger Outlet and in also in Kill Devil Hills will have paper angels available for adoption with only the children’s shoe requests. Detailed instructions regarding delivery of the purchased gifts will be provided at each of these locations.
The Outer Banks Woman’s Club is a 501 (C) 3 tax exempt organization. Monetary donations are greatly needed and can be mailed to OBWC, PO Box 102, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948 or visit the website at
