Junk Gypsies....they are here in Elizabeth City! Well, not the girls themselves but their new line of American made paint for use in reclaiming, up-cycling and re-purposing.
Junk Gypsy sisters Aime and Jolie Sikes are based in Texas where they work very closely together as a family in a retail business as well as a very eclectic, funky, totally recognizable, shabby chic, throw in some boho and a little down home-country design twist, interior design studio.
So you can imagine their color pallet of choice is going to be one of rich and vibrant color. Not to mention the names themselves will grab your attention. Such as Granny's Cornbread, Rebel Child, and one of my favorites Wanderlust!
16 colors (five basics and 11 signature Junk Gypsy™ hues) and a Clear Coat finish, the line provides everything you need to “gypsy-fy” your junk finds. The paint is simple to use, and distresses beautifully so you can achieve a vintage look quickly and easily!
This paint is low VOC and made in America!
So simple to use and safe indoors as there is virtually no odor!
For the DIYer or if you just want to add new life to a special piece; this is for you. Simple as pie!
If you may be seeking some inspiration or just want to tune in where you may see a Country Music star or two; Junk Gypsies are on Friday nights, 10:00 pm, Great American Country channel.
Stay Inspired-

Hi y’all. My name is Jolie Sikes-Smith, and together with my big sister Amie Sikes we are the women behind The Junk Gypsy Company, a Texas-based interior design studio and retail gallery.
Over the years, Amie and I have developed a design style that’s eclectic, yet also recognizable. We tend to work with a palette of vibrant colors, and we pull together the chic with the shabby, and the down-home with the upscale in a way that our clients tell us is both liveable and inspiring.
